Christin Staszesky Harper has been a Yoga practitioner and teacher for over 20 years and an owner and lover – devotee of horses for four decades.
In yoga, her primary interest is the therapeutic nature of yoga. She believes that yoga heals when practiced with integrity, alignment, and an open hearted willingness to experience one’s body as sacred.
She enjoys working with people of all shapes and sizes, and all levels of proficiency, raw beginner through super advanced. Christin has a special gift of opening the door to those who have a desire or yearning to practice yoga, but believe that they cannot because they are too inflexible, too broken, or too lost.
Christin is a certified 500hr teacher, an E-RYT 200hr teacher training instructor in both yoga and partner yoga. She is also the yoga instructor for the Houston Astros major league baseball team both in and off season.
In addition to her public classes, private sessions, monthly Friday evening Partner Yoga classes and Sunday morning advanced practices (see our Calendar), Christin leads transformational retreats combining her two primary passions – horses and Partner Yoga. She has developed a fusion between her life long love of partnering with horses with her passion for partner yoga. These modalities, with their inherent combination of profound honesty and presence are magically real and offer solutions to reveal and transform all relationships, both with self and Other.
Christin is Houston-based but you can likely find this free spirited gal out in the barn with the horses, floating down the road in a pair of runners, beach combing with her dog down Matagorda beach or laying in the grass of her family home in south Texas.
