Wholeness

What is Gestalt

Gestalt is a German word that can roughly be translated as wholeness, completion or structure.

Gestalt as a therapeutic process, is a somatic, body centered, co-creative, in the moment, experiential journey that safely and mindfully moves one toward the completion of life's unfinished business.

As there is no set outcome, this allows for a nonjudgemental journey of curiosity and allowance of what is. Whatever arises in the moment is welcomed. Through this co-creation between therapist and client, new awarenesses arise and doors previously closed to healing, open.

This unique collaboration gently moves pain and confusion to a place of wholeness and understanding in present time and out of the wilderness of the past.

The Gestalt modality fills in gaps, locates missing pieces, reclaims shadow parts and alchemizes painful experiences into fresh perception, wisdom and strength.

Through this self-discovery journey, we can welcome ourselves back home with compassion and clarity.

What to Expect from a Session

As Gestalt occurs in the present moment, no preparation is needed. One is simply asked to come as you are.

My first focus is always to create a safe container, attending to the needs of each individual client, whether inside the studio, on zoom, in the arena or out in nature. We might use inventive art processes, gentle guided movement, grooming (if working with the horses) and even humor to find our way into ease at the beginning and ending of a session. The care I afford to my client's felt sense of safety, is primary and never glazed over.
The safety and trust contained within each Gestalt session gently leads one into a heightened awareness and invites the dawning of clarity and the access to courage.

Inside this situation-specific Gestalt, empowerment rises to mobilize the action necessary for the completion of unfinished business. This opens you to a deeper sense of direction, connection and ease.

Certified Advanced Rolfer / Houston, TX

The space that Christin has created by combining her areas of love and amazing inherent talent is truly one of the best arenas of growth I’ve found in a long time. So much learning, so much light shown on those areas I had not been able to “see” until then,…and with a huge amount of safety, sacredness, and delight. This is a win win! I can only encourage everyone to step in!
